  • Under the supervision of the Casino Pit Manager, the incumbent, either personally or through subordinates, implements policies and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient gaming operations within assigned pit in accordance with WV Lottery Commission’s procedures and internal controls of gaming enterprise.

  • Must adhere to Racing Corporation of WV’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Supervises dealers and oversees and directs them in the operation and conduct of games.
  • Ensures compliance with WV Lottery Commission regulations and the company’s objectives, procedures and internal controls.
  • Assures dealer performance is in accordance with WVLC procedures and attendant regulations, WVLC internal controls and the rules and procedures of the game.
  • Evaluate assigned dealers on a daily basis.
  • Initiates and/or recommends disciplinary action for dealer infractions or policy violations occurring within the pit.
  • Ensures assigned games are properly and sufficiently equipped.
  • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. 

 RequirementsA shift change is almost certain. Successful candidates must be able to change current shift, days off and/or time starts.
 

Education and/or Experience                                           

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be proficient in dealing a minimum of the following games, Blackjack and Novelty, plus two other Primary Games (Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, and Pai-Gow.)
  • Must be able to obtain WV state license.
  • Audition may be required to verify proficiency.  An interview will be required. 

Mathematical Skills                                                 

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
